What a Scare!
Well, we have had quite the weekend. My Grandma passed away last week and we had her funeral (which was really peaceful and beautiful) on Friday. So of course all of the family came in for the progression of events. Well, one of my Uncles lives in Vernal and he left my Grandpa's house on Saturday afternoon and never arrived home!!! Of course he is one of these men that doesn't have a cell phone (maybe this will change his mind about them). My mom called me at about 7:30 in the morning on Sunday and told us that some of the family had been out all night searching the roads between here and Vernal and hadn't turned him up yet. Jer and I got ready and packed up the boys and the truck with a whole bunch of supplies and tools and took off to go help. Everyone was telling us that with little kids we shouldn't even leave our house, but for whatever reason we both had a strong feeling that we needed to go help look for Uncle Steve. We got down to Orem and were about to go up Provo Canyon when my Dad called and said they had found him. He was fine. He had gotten stuck on a side road and had to sleep in his truck with nothing to keep him warm but his coat and his dog. What a lucky guy!!! Seriously, this is what you hear about on the news!!! Our family definitely had our prayers answered that day, that's for sure! You are one lucky guy, Uncle Steve!!! We're glad you're okay!

The Coolest House!

This weekend we went to St. George with Jer's family for a quick getaway and some down time. While we were there we spent a few hours each day touring the Parade of Homes (which happens to be one of our favorite past times. I love that Jer gets into it and takes pictures of everything we like for our future home....it's the best!) It's official! This is now my dream home! I love the layout of this house and I think it's the coolest that there is a breezeway. The one that was in St. George didn't have a basement, but we would for sure put in a basement. Mark my words...this house will be ours!!
