Yummy Field Trip

Yesterday we decided to get out and do something different. I had heard that a local candy company did free tours and we are all about free....and hello, candy! So I called up my MIL, Annie, and SIL, Mara, and we gathered up the kids and went on our way. The only problem was that it was a little hard to find and I ended up at the airport (and the actual Candy Factory wasn't anywhere near the airport), so it wasn't a great start to our field trip. Eventually we found it and were prepped to enter (we had to wear hair nets, even little 2 month old Tylar had to wear one...but it was cute, it looked like a bonnet. And we had to watch a little video and were told to stay within the yellow lines.) They wouldn't let us take pictures while we were on the tour, but we took a couple after. Along the way we got to sample candies and the whole process was kinda fun to watch. I can't believe how much sugar they go through! Well, that's a dumb comment because they are a candy company, but still, it was a ton!! I would recommend anyone taking this tour because the kids liked it and as I said earlier, IT'S FREE!

Boston was so good the entire time and he wasn't even interested in messing with his hair net until it was time to take pictures...then he came out of his little shell and performed for the camera. He's so fun!

Fun idea! Just so you know "Taffy Town" has better taffy and a free tour! Plus we are good friends with the owner. Lets do it!
