He's So Funny!

We were on our way home today and here is the conversation that Ethan prompted...it went a little like this.

Ethan: Mommy, it would be so bad if my eyes were cut off. Then I wouldn't be able to see!
Me: You're right, that wouldn't be good, huh?
Ethan: I don't want my ears cut off because then I wouldn't be able to hear!
Me: Wouldn't that be awful??
Ethan: I wouldn't want my nose cut off because then I couldn't sniff stuff.
Me: Well, sometimes when you're around stinky things that would be good, but most of the time it's better that we do have a nose.
Ethan: And I wouldn't want my lips cut off because then I...I...I wouldn't be able to put on chappy! (chapstick)
Me: Oh, man! That would be a shame!
